Yard Work, Flat Tires, Random acts of Kindness and Rylan.

It has been an eventful week at the Cruz household. On Monday night we heard a knock at the door and opened it to see these lovely notes taped to the door.

They read, "I am thankful for your family," "I am thankful for you teaching me,"I am thankful for you coming to church," and "I am thankful for you being nice to me." Must have came from one of our wonderful Sunbeams (3-4 year old class we teach at church) and is JUST what I needed. The Sunday before we had kids crying, falling off their chairs, asking for mom, asking when it was time to go..etc. and I was thinking that Tony and I were not being very good teachers. The little notes were much appreciated and just what we needed to hear. Wish I knew who it was that surprised us to give them a big THANK YOU!!

When I got to work on Wednesday I noticed that the passenger side tire on the van was really really low. Thankfully Tony had earned a half day and was able to come over during my lunch break to put the spare on. When he arrived the tire was completely flat. It took us awhile to figure things out but we finally got the spare on. The spare was low too but drivable. Tony left me the car and took the van. Thank you for saving me Tony! (He didn't know I was taking theses pictures of him. :))

Rylan, as I post every week, is growing, growing, growing. I finally got him on video rolling over. He started rolling over in Oct.

He wore his first turtleneck this week. (Thanks to his primo Max)

I also got his laugh on tape too. Every time I turn on the camera he stops doing whatever he was doing but I caught it this time.

Rylan also is beginning to sit up on his own.

My Big boy!

And we FINALLY had Landscapers come to fix our yard. I have been SO excited to post these before and in-between pics. (We still have work to do)

I believe the last picture is the biggest change! That's all for this week!

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Ok, Ok I know, It is not even Thanksgiving yet... Last Saturday we went to a store called Half to Half and saw Christmas Tree's were on sale. We couldn't pass up the good deal so we purchased the tree, and set it up on Monday.

We do not have stockings out yet and still have our Thanksgiving Pumpkins out. We are doing two Holidays at once. In fact Rylan was wearing his pumpkin pj's the night we put up the tree.

Because Rylan is getting bigger I decided he should try his jumper out that the De Hoyos gave him. He LOVED it and was laughing the whole time.

Lastly, I didn't capture the smile, but love when Rylan wakes up and I walk in his room and he smiles at me. This picture was taken after his afternoon nap yesterday.

Not too much else going on in the Cruz house hold. We are hoping to get the Landscape guys out this week to fix our yard.

He did NOT like his shots today and it took me awhile to calm him down. The Doctor said we could start feeding him some solids if we chose to over the next couple months. I think Ill try at nights to see if he is interested. I'm pretty excited to see how he will react. :) My baby boy is growing up!!

Last night Tony, Mama Nora and I went to visit Aunt Nora and Tj for football and dinner. It was a fun visit and good eatin!

October

Mom got after me for not keeping up with my blog so I decided to take my Mom and sisters advice and blog on Sunday mornings before attending church.

Life has been crazy for all of us. I am back at work full time and working on trying to create a good balance of everything that I need/want to get done. Between trying to be a good mother, working, being up all night, trying to keep the house clean and getting my runs in i'm at full exhaustion by the end of the week. I've developed a new appreciation for the weekend!

Tony has been a good support and understanding of all my crazy mood swings and has started to help out a lot more since I've gone back to work full time.

The last few months have flown by and my baby boy is now 4 months old! He can now roll over and grasp onto objects with his little hands. Most of the time you can find Rylan's hands in his mouth. He wont take a pacifer but loves to suck on his hands. :) He has located both his feet and hands and loves to watch how they move and what they can do for him. His little smile and laughter brighten up my days and let me know that my exhaustion is worth it.  Tomorrow Tony and I get to take him in for his four month check-up. I will post his stats tomorrow as well. He is getting so big!

We bought a skeleton onsie for Rylan for his first Halloween and went to our Church Halloween party to celebrate. Last year we bought a lot of candy and had 0 trick-or-treater's come to our house. This year we decided to save ourselves of the calories and didn't buy any candy. Of course our street was full of tricker-treaters, so we had to turn out the lights and not answer our door. Hopefully next year we will get it right...

Our is yard is over grown and taking over our house. We hired a Landscape company to come repair the yard last week but because of the rain and not being a "preferred customer" (rude) they never showed up when they said they were coming. Tony got fed up with them so we will try again this week to get someone else to come over. I will post before and after pictures!

Tony and I ran my first post-partum 5k at the beginning of October pushing Evan and Rylan. It felt good to be back to running races with the DRC. Pregnancy did a toll on my body but I've been working on losing the extra weight and getting back in to shape. Trixie ran her first post-partum 15k!

We love watching soccer on Saturday mornings. Joshua and Dallin played in their last soccer game for the season this Saturday.

Lastly, some pictures from a Sunday stroll we took a few weeks ago. Hope to keeping my blogging up to date from now on!
